We are inviting all commercial vehicle drivers to bring their commercial vehicles to the CHP Northbound Gilroy CVEF to be inspected.

During the inspection the driver is invited to “walk - along” with the inspector and see how a Level 1 inspection is conducted and what it entails.

If during the inspection any violations are found they will be documented on the inspection report.  

If during the inspection any “out - of - service” conditions are found the company and/or driver will need to make arrangements to have the vehicle and/or driver corrected prior to  departure from the Gilroy Northbound CVEF.

On this day between the hours listed above there will be NO citations issued to the drivers or carriers.

During the hours listed above the California Trucking Association will be providing a “healthy snack” for the drivers.

This day should be beneficial for the driver and carrier and give them insight into the mission of the CHP as it pertains to commercial vehicle safety.
