This meeting will provide input to the consultants for the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) regarding priorities to improve transportation systems for goods movement, trucking and other economic development in Sutter and Yuba counties. SACOG maintains the Regional Transportation Plan for the six county Sacramento region and thereby manages the flow of State and Federal funds for transportation improvements throughout the region.
This meeting is specifically focused on improvements needed in Yuba and Sutter counties to make trucking and goods movement more efficient and to better support growth of businesses in the area. The meeting will address travel on State Highways 99, 70 and 65, as well as major arterials through the area. We are also interested in services and facilities that could be improved to support locally based trucking companies as well as goods movement through the area.
