New requirements for drivers and record keeping for vehicles 26,000 GVW or less will be in effect October 1, 2020 as outlined in the California Highway Patrol’s (CHP)  Initial Statement of Reasons (ISOR), Federal Consistency, CHP-R-2018-01. CTA has been made aware of a couple of issues with the new requirements and has been working with the CHP to get them resolved.
