Human Sex Trafficking is the title given to what some refer to as the oldest profession in the world. Some people believe the sex trafficking industry is victimless. “she’s just a working girl trying to make a living”, “nobody is forcing them, if they really wanted out, they’d leave”, “the industry should be legalized”.
The District Attorney’s Office presentation on human trafficking prevention will share information about the dark world of the sex trafficking industry. The presentation will share the reality of what some are experiencing in the sex trade industry. This powerful program contains an actual 911 call, photos, shares warning signs, statistics, explains the recruiting techniques, why victims stay, the toll it takes on victims, provides information about how to help a victim, and resources for assistance.
Please be aware this program is graphic in nature. Graphic images and graphic language are contained in the presentation. Viewer discretion advised.
Presenter: Suzanne Schultz, Family Justice program Director, San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office
