WEBINAR
Warehouse Indirect Source Rule Compliance and Overview
Friday, June 21, 2024
1-2 PM
Presented by South Coast Air Quality Management District
Learn about South Coast Air Quality Management District's (SCAQMD) Warehouse Indirect Source Rule (ISR) or Warehouse Actions and Investments to Reduce Emissions (WAIRE) Program which is a first of its kind regulation requiring warehouse owners and operators located in the South Coast Air Basin to calculate annual truck trips and deploy mitigation measures to offset the truck trips with certain actions such as purchasing zero-emission vehicles, installing solar panels, or paying a mitigation fee.
Webinar topics covered will include:
- Program overview
- Calculating annual truck trips
- Reporting to the online portal
- Recordkeeping requirements
This rule may be specific to warehouses located in the South Coast Air Basin (Southern California region), but the San Diego Air Pollution Control District is exploring and making efforts to incorporate their own warehouse ISR as well as the California Air Resources Board (CARB) acknowledging a potential statewide indirect source rule to meet environmental goals.
